Follow on from previous query: no connection icon on taskbar

I have also noticed that there is no connection icon on the taskbar, even
though 'show icon on taskbar' is ticked in the 'internet
options'>connections>properties>advanced settings.
 
Thanks, but I can't see any icons in network connections ( see my enquiry
entered at 14.25 on 28/01/06)!
