Folders - Open or Search

I have changed something but I don't know what !

When clicking on a Folder (some folders) , the SEARCH function appears.
Previously it was a simple OPEN.

Right clicking the folder I see that SEARCH is at the top of the functions
and OPEN is three or four levels down.

What have I done and what can I do to correct it

I assume it is simple when you know !!!
