Hi everyone,

When you view a folder using the 'Details' view, is there
any way to change how the file size displays. Currently,
it always gives the file size in 'K'...can you get it to
do this in MB?

Hi Stu

Do mean under 1,024 Ks? Over 1,024 Ks it seems to show in MBs here.

1,024 kb = 1 mb.

So basicly if you see a file that's 10,233 kb --- then it approximatly 10
mb.

Also if you right click on a folder and choose properties, it will show the
total folder/files size in mb.

Hi Phil,

I can do the Math, I just don't want to. I also don't
want to have to click on Properties. I just thought it
would be nice if I could change a setting and always have
XP display file size in MB rather than KB.

Hi Will,

What version of XP do you have? Cos in my version it
doesn't display in MB, even with very large file sizes.

That is IMHO impossible using Windows Explorer. If you want size showing
in MB so just use 3rd party file manager (AFAIR Total Commander has such
feature).
