Hi all, I liked how win2k showed you the last modified date to the left and
also when I hovered over the file. Any ideas how I can do this in XP?

TIA!

Param,

When you select a file, the Common Tasks "Details" section will show the Date Modified of that file. The Infotip which is shown when you hover over a file, usually contains the Date Modified line. For that you need to enable "Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items" in the Folder Options, View tab.

In Control Panel - System - Advanced - Performance Settings - click
Advanced make sure that 'Show common tasks in Folders' is selected.

Then in Folder Options - View, have 'Show popup descriptions. . . .'
checked.

The detail on the left then shows in My Computer, or in Explorer if you
set it to the My Computer view by its View - Explorer bar and unchecking
all items
