Folder Settings

Our new computer worked fine for a while and now everytime
we open a folder it is in full screen. When we change the
icon settings and resize the folder we the go to Control
Panel\Folder Options - View Tab and set 'Remember each
Folder's View Setting'. then when we close it and re-open
it, it is back to full screen and not the way we want it.
We can not get it to hold a setting. PLEASE HELP ... Thank
You
