Folder Security

I have an XP network (without Domain) in a computer shop. We have a number of
resources in various shared folders on several different PCs. We also have a
PC specifically for customers to check their emails and surf the web while we
fix their bug-ridden PCs.

The problem is that I do not want this PC (and possibly others) from
accessing some of the shared areas. I would like to set permissions on the
folders, but everytime I try this, I am unable to give permissions to
individual PCs.

I realise that this would be easy on a Domain, but a domain is not practical
in this enviroment.

The workgroup is called WORKGROUP.
and most of the resources are located on the PC named SHOP.
All shares are on NTFS.
To access we simply type \\SHOP\xxxxxxx from any PC on the network.

So the question is how can I stop \\CLIENTPC from accessing some of the
resources on \\SHOP, but still have access to printers and other shares that
are considered safe?

From the answers I receive I would also like to set up shared folders that
only specific computers/users could access.

You don't do this by computer - you do it by users and groups. You don't
need a domain. I'm assuming you have XP Pro. Make a user group for
customers and then assign permissions to resources that deny access where
desired.
