HI ... I run Nortons win doctor, and it stops @ the same Folder, and will
not complete.

I have tried to delete said Folder, which is empty, to be told " Cannot
delete , The directory is not empty " ....... any thoughts how to delete
this empty Folder .....

Hi Chas

Try this:

Open a Command window (Start > Run, type "cmd" without the quotes and
hit Enter). Use the cd command to navigate to the *parent* folder of the
one you want to remove -- for example, if it's a sub-folder of My
Documents, you would want to navigate to My Documents. If you don't know
how to do this, post back with the full path and folder name.

Once in the parent folder, type:

rd /s /q foldername <enter> and see if it's gone.

Let us know how you get on :-)

Thank you for your response ........... run cmd enter, I get themessage I 16
bit MS-DOS Subsystem

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT

The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows
applications.
