Folder Redirection Errors

H

Hoja Michael

Hi,

Can anyone help with this? We've got Windows XP Pro SP-1
on the desktops in a Windows 2003 domain. We have a Group
Policy set for Folder Redirection to a server location
\\BSSRV004\%username$%. Before my time here at the
company, all the folders were re-directed to a previous
server location \\BSSRV001\%username$% (a DC server which
was removed incorrectly from the domain following a
problem).

Now since the folder redirection is on the new server
(BSSRV004), lots of our users are complaining of error
messages on logging in and shutting down that the folders
are being sync'd to the server BSSRV001 that is no longer
there.

In Active Directory, I've checked that all the users are
poinging to the \\BSSRV004\%username$% hidden share and
they do have permissions. Is there a way we can fix this
so that the folders are sync'd to the correct location
and that the BSSRV001 server settings are removed from
the client?

Below is the error message in the Event Viewer:

Error's such as this one found on Ewen Dyce's PC.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Folder Redirection

Event ID: 106

Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,

Michael

Sounds like you are also syncing offline files. Is this correct? If you
are, some or all of the offline files might still be pointing to the old
server.
