Folder Properties

When I open a file on my C drive or D drive it used to open in "list"
order. Not in opens showing the folders.

Is there a way I can set all of my folders and files to open in the
list format? I end up changing them all to this format anyway, but it
doesn't always stay that way.

You must be referring to Windows Explorer. I am still using Windows XP and
with that OS you can click on the "Views" icon (usually on the right side of
the menu bar below the Files, Edit, View, etc. menu. Choose the 'Details'
option. Then go to Tools/Folder Options.../View and choose The Reset All
Folders or maybe Apply to All Folders.
