Folder Problems Windows XP

Hi,

I've got a strange problem. Somehow all my files and folders are readonly.
this happened on both disks I use. When I change the readonly property of a
folder, it changes back itself.

Does anyone knows how I can get my originial folder settings back?

It's irelevent if a folder is read only. Nor will windows show its status or allow you to change the read only on a folder.
 
Can be, but when I try to rename the folder, a message occured that the
folder is readonly. I can't change or delete folders anymore.
