Folder permissions

On this workstation, I have always had multiple OS's. Data is stored on
a separate drive and backed up to another drive on shutdown using a
batch file and xcopy (no, it's not the only backup). It has worked well
until Win7 came into the mix. Now I get different folders in the log
created stating:

Access denied
Unable to create directory - G:\....

These are folders that are already created and nothing is being copied
to them anyway.

All folders on the backup drive have the same permissions.

There is an "Account Unknown(S-1-....) in all the folders now that I'm
guessing is from Win7 (it doesn't show IN Win7). It has full control
along with my login user that is the same on all OS's. I even grant
full control to Everyone and no change.

SyncToy appears to not have this problem, my guess is most likely the
data in those folders hasn't changed so nothing is being written to them.

Any ideas why Win7 is throwing this wrench in the mix and how to resolve
it?

I suppose your statement "Any ideas why Win7 is throwing this wrench in the
mix" could be interpreted in different ways. To clarify the issue I suggest
you post your xcopy command and explain in more details where exactly the
problem occurs and where Windows 7 gets involved.
