Hiya. i have a fairly simple question but nobody i know can answer it. some
how i accedently made it so that i could not access my documents, from doing
a lil investigating i have discovered that there is no owner set to it. ive
used the help and support and it suggests to go to properties then click the
security tab. i do not have a security tab. i then did a search to find out
how to get the tab up and it said that i need to go to my computer then tools
then folder options then the view tab and at the bottom should be a check box
saying use simple file sharing (recomended) and that i should uncheck it. i
cannot find this check box. if anyone could please tell me how to get the
security tab to diplay under the properties of a folder then i should be able
to work the rest out

Thanks

With Home Edition, you will need to go into Safe Mode to access the
Security tab. The drive also must be formatted NTFS. Do this by
repeatedly tapping the F8 key as the computer is starting up. This will
get you to the right menu. Navigate using your Up arrow key; the mouse
will not work here.
