Folder Options

Somehow I have messed up and am now looking for help.

In Folder Options, File Types I had a look at the options for File Folder
and Folder. I don't remember clicking on anything that should make a change
but when I went back to the desktop and opened a folder it opened the Search
screen for that folder.

I have managed to add something in the Advanced section of the file types
for File Folder and it now works - sort of!! When opening a folder in a
folder it opens up in a seperate window despite this setting being turned
off in the General section.

I would however, like to get it back to the way it was originally. Any
suggestions.
 
Can you tell me what you did? I have the same problem except I did not create
it. Someone else did. I would appreciate any help, even if it doesn't work
the way it was before, but Microsoft will not tell me how to fix it and want
to charge me $35 to (maybe) fix it. Thanks!
