I followed the instructions (Q321379 create printdir.bat file) to add the
Print Directory feature for folders and it did not work. In trying to reset
to defaults it did not return me to the original setting. Now when I double
click a folder on the desktop, it opens to the search results display. I
would like it to open to the list of the contents of the folder. If I right
click and select Open, I get what I want. Please suggest a "reset to
defaults" that works. I am using XP Pro. Thanks!

Known issue. But did you read the entire article (Q321379)?

2. Locate the Default value under the following key in the registry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell
3. Click Modify on the Edit menu.
4. In the File data box, type:
none
5. Click OK.
6. Quit Registry Editor.
