Folder Displaying instead of file...

Hi...
I am developing a new website. while testing the site i came to know
that when i typed the full path in the address bar like instead of
opening the file IE opens the folder and displays the folder contents.
Can anyone tell me what is the problem and how can i solve it.

You must have a page with the same name as your site's home page in the folder, if you just want to
link to the folder.
