Every folder on my computer is set as read-only and if I
change it, it will reset automatically back to read-only
right after I close the window, it wont allow me to move
files between folders or anything, what can I do to stop
this?

The parent of all those folders probably has the read-only atrtibute set on
it, along with the setting that all sub-folders inherit it.

Right click on the parent folder, choose properties. Go to the Security
Tab. You can now give yourself what ever permission you want (assuming you
have priviliges to do so).

There is a link on the advanced window which talks about "access control".

Note: If the box is a green square, don't worry about it. If its an actual
check mark, then it could be a problem.
