FN key is not working.....

Hi

Guess this is the wrong group to post too, but I didn't find an other
group to post so.......

I have an Acer laptop, and when I plug my laptop out from the docking
station, my NumLk is activated.

To inactivate it, I must hold down my FN key and press the NumLk button
(F11).

Now my FN key wont work, so when am going to type in the letters jklu
etc, I get 123 etc.

Is there anyway to inactivate the FN key, buy not holding down the FN
key?

Fn key is a hardware feature, it probably isn't recognized by
standard keyboard driver at all.
But you can easily change Numlock state programmatically,

Ask Acer tech support or in a hardware newsgroup? It's not an XP OS issue.
