Fn key does not work

Hi All ,
I have bought Sony Vaio PCG-FRV26 , I have problem with the
function key .I have tried to run the recovery software to install the
hot key utility , software has been installed but the keys still do not
work . Any one has any idea? Please help i will be thankful to the
person. Have a good day

If your Sony is still under warranty give Sony support a call and ask
for assistance. Normally the laptop manufacturer includes a driver or
proprietary software for operation of the Fn keys. Also, you might
wish to go into CMOS setup (check your manual) and make sure
everything is set correctly.
 
This may not pertain to you, but Dell
laptops have been rumored to have problems with the bottom row of
keys sticking in the up or down position (not visually) due to
pressure on the area in front of the keyboard (around the touchpad).
Try contacting sony for more specific help.
