Floppy Locking Mechanism

Sorry! If this is a wrong forum.

Appreciate if someone can guide me, what is the exact mechanism & technology
used for locking floppy drive (locking using software), so that the contents
can be viewed but cannot be copied or imaged.
 
Apologies......... just misguided by term access security ...thought security
