Floppy Drive

After having installed Windows XP, my floppy Drive does
not seem to work.Anytime I put a floppy in I
get,"Gathering required Information" followed by, "insert
the CD-Rom disk into the system and click OK".Problem is,
I don't have my disks anymore.Any ideas or solutions?
 
check your BIOS to see if the floppy drive is even
enabled. this is step 1
i apologize i have no cool links, like others.
