I have a toshiba tecra 8100 laptop and have recently
installed W2K. Have done all possible windows updates and
service packs etc. My external floppy drive will not save
properly anymore (it seems to save but when you take out
the floppy and put it back in there is no data) and the CD-
DVD Rom is all over the place when playing a audio CD. I
am thinking its driver problems? any suggestions or
advice??

thanks

Have you checked with Toshiba to see if there hardware supports Win2k and
has correct drivers for it? Certainly sounds like a hardware/driver issue.
