Floppy Drive - not recognizing formatted disk

I'm copying files from a win 95 machine to an xp
machine. When I insert the diskette in the xp machine,
I'm getting the disk is unformatted - do you want to
format message?

Any suggestions? Thanks, Bill.
 
one of the heads on one of the drives has been moved -
only solution is to get a new drive !!
test each drive to c which can be read by other machine
1st - (obviously)
