floppy drive no work

You've probably done this, but did you try flipping the cable around? The
floppy cable can sometimes fit two ways, but only one is right.

I could use any help here from someone that might have a better Idea on
how to get the floppy drive working.I have the P4C800E and when i first
got the board the floppy worked fine then i went a very long time not
using the floppy and have updated the Bios and still it will not work i
have taking out the drive unplugged it and all the things that i can
think of but no work,My friend has the same board and it just did the
same thing any new ideas would be welcome thanks for any replies....

Generally unplugging something is not going to make it work any better.

No the light does not come on when you go to the device manager it says i
have a floppy everything looks ok i even bought a new floppy drive and put it
in,thanks for any help
