Floppy Drive A:\ not recognized

Hi Helpers,
I installed a 3.5" drive on my new Dell Dimension 9150 which was purchased
without that item. The drive works on my old PC, but the 9150 does not see
it. In fact the power light does not even flash during boot up. I know the
drive and cable are ok (tested on the old PC). The 9150 has a st'd floppy
connection on the mother board and the correct power cable. I don't know
anything about a floppy drive controller, if that is a piece of hardware
where would I look for it on either PC and what exactly does it look like.
Any suggestions out of this dilemma? Thanks....

No, How do I do this?

Reboot the computer. When you see Dell on the black screen, press the
F2 key to get into setup. You have to be quick. You will actually
see the instructions to press the F2 key at the top of the screen, but
it flashes by very fast. If you are too late, the computer will
continue to boot into Windows, and you will have to start over.

If you are successful in getting the setup screen to come up, expand
Drives, then go to the diskette drive. Set it to Internal. Then exit
out of the setup screen and let the computer continue to reboot. If
it gets hung up at that point, just restart it. If it's really hung
up, turn the computer off with the power button on the front, wait
about 5-seconds, then push it in again. You should now have an
operating floppy disk drive.
