floppy disk problems

Hi I accidently left a floppy disk in the drive and
restarted it, it tried to reboot from the disk and now the
when I try to acess files on the disk, it says that the
disk needs to be formated, is there any way to save this
disk, any help would be greatly apprecitated. thanks
 
booting with it in there doesn't hurt it.
something else is going on.
scan it for virus and then
try it in another computer
