Floppy disk problem

When ever I try to access my floppy driv A, my PC crashes to the blue
screen of death. If I uninstall the floppy and reinstall it it works
ok, but after I reboot the PC the same thing happens. I tried a new
floppy drive, no help. I use XP Pro.
 
maybe your floppy drive controller
on the mobo is your problem.

maybe your antivirus software that
is monitoring your floppy drive is
a problem.

maybe using a usb type floppy drive
would be better for your system

maybe transferring all your floppies
onto cd's or dvd's would alleviate
the use of a problematic device and
aspirin.....
