How can I fix communication between Windows XP and my Floopy disk drive?
Device Manager says: Windows cannot load the device driver for this
hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Have you tried booting into your BIOS to see if the drive is selected as the
right one?

Yes, I went into the BIOS and all setting are correct.
When the computer starts up the floppy dirve light flashes and the drive
makes its normal sounds and windows starts up but in My Computer it doesn't
show the floppy drive? My computer came with WINDOWS 98SE and I upgraded to
XP this past August. Everything worked just fine till 10-20-06.
I've tried to restore to an earlier time, but it would not go back beyond
the day I tried to do the restore?
It is a Dell computer and I've tried to use the recovery disk to reinstall
the
Floppy Disk Controler drivers but I cannot find these files?
I've done everything except reformat the drive and I really don't want to do
that if I can help it.
