floating copy icon

How do I get rid of the icon (clipboard)which appears when
I copy and paste an item. It is the most frustrating
thing. It appears in such a location as to prevent you
from getting to the cells it covers.

Tools>Options>Edit. Uncheck "Show Paste Options Button".
