If I wanted to flip back and forth between documents, and keep the separate,
but together (much like in excel with the various tabs), how do I do that in
Word? Better yet, Can I do that in Word?

This should work:

Right click on a Toolbar.
Click Customize.
Select All Commands.
Scroll down to Next Window.
Left click and hold on Next Window and pull it to a Toolbar. Now the
toolbar will have New Window button.
If you have 2 documents open, you can click on your new Next Window button
and that will toggle you between documents. If you have more than 2
documents open, clicking on the button will toggle between all the
documents, I.e., 1st doc, 2nd doc, 3rd doc, 1st doc, 2nd doc, 3rd doc, etc.

Ctrl+F6 to go to the next document, Ctrl+Shift+F6 to go to the previous one.
If you have only two open, Ctrl+F6 will flip between them. If they are in
separate windows, you can also use Alt+Tab, but this will also include any
other windows you have open.

I'm sorry I don't think I asked my question very well...Let me try again. I
would like to "link" several Word documents, much like you can have different
worksheets within a workbook in Excel. I would like to do the same sort of
thing with several different pages in Word. i do not want it to be one
continuous document. I also don't want to have several different Word
document windows open. I would like to e-mail one attachment to one person,
not as several "little" attachments. Does that make more sense?
