flight simulator

i just bought a new copy of ms flight simulator 2004 and instaled the 4 cd's.
Everything seems to work fine until i actually try and start the game, it
just freezes just before loading the game and the game stops responding.

i am sure it wasn't the cd's since they loaded the game properly, is there
anything i can do to solve this?

What are the results when you run the DirectX diagnostic video and sound
tests? That application can produce a log (produce log after running the
test) that you can copy and paste from the log to provide readers here
with information they will need to assist you. You can run the
diagnostic from the System Information utility or the "Run..." popup on
the start button (command is DXDIAG).

If you post hardware specifications (CPU, main RAM, video accelerator
ID), the video accelerater driver version numbers and DirextX version
someone with a similar system might be able to compare their settings to
yours.

ok so now u know my entire system, can anyone help? what is this last
point mean in the log this (Lobbyable Apps) has that got to do with my

ok so now u know my entire system, can anyone help? what is this last
point mean in the log this (Lobbyable Apps) has that got to do with my
problem?

diagnostic from the System Information utility or the "Run..." popup on

I don't see any mention of the video and sound tests in your log file.
What were the results? Did you see the spinning cubes in the Direct3D
tests? Did you hear the chirping sound in all the DirectSound tests? Did
you wait until after performing the tests to generate the log file?

Flight Simulator uses the Direct3D portions of DirectX to display the
aircraft and scenery. If we can determine that Direct3D is cooperating
with your video accelerator properly we can rule that out as a cause of
your problem. The same holds true for DirectSound. I have read reports
that sometimes video drivers and DirectX don't quite link properly
causing DirectX applications to quit back to the desktop immediately
after launch. Many people advise changing to generic VGA drivers and
removing the existing vendor specific video accelerator drivers before
updating or reinstalling video accelerator drivers.

I know they aren't the latest, but I have been using the 4.14.10.4523
drivers. On rare occasions I get a blue screen, but it has been generaly
working well with DirectX 9.0b before I got 9.0c with Windows XP's
Service Pack 2. It continues to work well with DirectX 9.0c.

The test reaults section of my dxdiag log looks like this:
