Flight SIm 2004

Question on MS Game Studio research...
I fly locally at Gingin airport (lesson for non-locals = say gin - gin (as
in two alcoholic drinks)) and Gingin has no control tower, it is Pearce
Airspace Sunday 00:01 to Friday 23:59, else Perth airspace...

How many airports around the world have been faked like this???
For details like this to be overlooked, games research needs to be more
thorough, for example to contact the local authorities of the area for more
accurate details.

I also notice there is no feedback channel to Microsoft, they can't improve
their products properly without hearing the feedback!!!

I am looking forward to Flight Sim X ;-)

Wondering if you could help....I tried copying all my Flight Sim/04 files to
another hard drive I installed in my computor.
After thinking this was successful, I deleted some remaining files that I
thought
I would not need. Seeing as this didn't work, I tried to do a clean
reinstall from the original CD set but it will not run the Setup.exe file.
The error I get reads " Microsoft Games AutoRun/Setup has encountered a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I tried it

Hi FJCan,

You may need to reinstall that completely using this technique ..

Here's how to uninstall a game when using Add-Remove programs fails:

Step A: Start your computer in Safe Mode by holding down the F8 key.

Step B: Reinstall the game to the same folder it was installed to originally,
and then try to uninstall it again using Add-Remove programs. If
that fails, delete it's folder and any save games in My Documents.

Step C: Install and Run Regcleaner and if it finds any stray registry keys for the
game, delete them: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download460.html

Jimmy S ... Your a genius!
Thank you very much for the info. I had spent hours (days) trying to fix
this as I am building the actual plane that is also on the simulator and was
anxious to try it out. I never once thought I could do an actual
install/setup in Safe Mode. This worked and I was up and flying immediatly.
I did not continue with the Reg Clean however, for fear of deleting a needed
file. Should I still continue with this step?

Best Regards,
FJCan.

Hi FJCan,

Great news! I'm glad that worked for you.
No need to continue with the RegCleaner; "If it's not broken, don't fix it" ;-)
