Can anyone help me out with this problem I am having with my laptop. My
screen flickers once in awhile. It seems like if you touch in a certain spot
it will start to flicker or another thing I dont know but I move my screen
lid forward alittle bit to close it alittle bit and it stops for awhile but
sooner or later it will start back up again. Can anyone figure out what could
be wrong or am I having some sort of hardware problem... Help me, Thanx

Sounds like a hardware problem.

That's usually the result of a problem with the video cable running from the
motherboard to the LCD panel. It's quite common with aging laptops. The
cable is replaceable, but not something you should try yourself.

What would be the cost of this on fixing it? Or is it just easier to go out
and buy a new laptop

Not being service agents for your make of laptop, that would be hard for any
of us to say.. however, a call to the appropriate service department may get
you information that you could then compare with store prices for a new
one..

It may vary considerably. The cable itself is sometimes around $85.00. You
just have to ask the manufacturer or other qualified vendors.
