FlashGet Problem

I'm trying to use a download manager "FlashGet."

Its works fine on my Win98 computer but not WinXP.

Program installs fine and seems to work but never makes the connection to
start the download.

No error mesages except evenually "times out" on sites that are known good
[download fine from IE].

I ruled out my router and firewall as the problem as the Win98 computer is
on the same network.

Any one else have problems with this?

I should add that I tried running Flashget in SafeMode and still would not
connect and start downloads.

Have the current version [1.60] + compatibility mode doesn't help.

The program "runs" fine, it just never connects.

Irksome.
