Flash screen with unassociated labels

Hello,
My screen does a quick "flash/flicker" when the mouse passes over a label
that is not assicated with a control. I have several labels not associated
with controls (instructions on the form, etc.) but don't want to keep seeing
the "flash/flicker" - how can I prevent this?

I can't say that I've ever seen that before. I'd take a look at the
event tab of the label properties to make sure there isn't anything
happening on the mouse move event of the label.
