My system doesnot recognize my flash drive when i plug it in

The flash drive may be faulty. Has this drive worked previously on your PC,
does this drive work in other PCs, do other USB devices work OK on your PC?
if the answers are yes, no and yes then the drive is probably faulty. This
assumes you are running WinXP and not an earlier OS.

This is a new flash drive, and i have no experence with using them. Other
devicese work at that port. I am running xp.

Other
devicese work at that port. I am running xp.

In that case, try it on at least one other PC. If it still doesn't work then
the drive is faulty.

ok so i returned the flash drive and got another brand, same results. My
computer will not recognize the drive. I was told that the front ones may
not work so i tried the rear one. Still no go. Is there some other way to
get my system to work?

Are you running Windows XP Home or Professional, or some other operating
system?

Does ANYTHING work on your USB ports? They may not be functioning.

I previously asked that and the OP said "Other devices work at that port."

everyting else works as it should, the USB ports on the front and the back
are functional. still at a loss to understand wazup

Ok so i downloaded this program (still doesn't come up as an installed drive)
also went to sandisk and tried to download dirver, my system wouln't let me
download driver said it was not needed. Thanks for all the help, I am still
at a total loss. I use these ports to download my camer, use my online
camera etc etc. ?????

after you connect your flash drive..go and see if its listed under your
"drives"..go to "start"... "my computer"... there you will see your "c",
"d" drives etc.. check to see if the flash drive is listed there after you
connected it... maybe you can just double click on it and "open"..?? ...
good luck
