Flash Drive Question

I recently purchased a SanDisk Cruzer Micro USB flash drive. The Very
brief instructions state that it is recommended for Win2000 & XP. The
salesperson indicated that it 'might be hard' on the drive to use it
with a ME machine. Would someone kindly clarify whether or not it is
safe to use this flash drive to migrate data from an old ME machine
(with bad CD writer) to a new XP box? I've searched the info on SanDisk
site & found no answers.

Inasmuch as the Cruzer Micro is only supported on Win2K (SP 4) and WinXP
there is no guarantee your Cruzer will work with ME. For the same reason
you will get no help from SanDisk if you encounter any problems.

The average salesperson in a store, especially the major stores, rarely
knows what day it is, let alone specific compatibility info regarding
computer peripherals (my experience)..

Click on this link, and you will get confirmation that your USB flash drive
will work quite happily on an ME system without the need for drivers..

Have fun with your drive..

Thanks for finding this link, Mike. I spent a couple hours at the
SanDisk site yesterday & never found anything even close to this. I
appreciate your taking the time to help. 8^) I've found that most
peripherals are backward compatible, but thought it was best to check it
out.

Thanks again,
Carol2
