flash card not detected

PLEASE HELP
When i put my Sony memory stick into the falsh card
reader the computer does not detect it and therefore the
pictures will not download. Hope you can tell me whats
wrong. The last time i used the flash card reader it
worked automatically. Now nothing????

pictures will not download. Hope you can tell me whats
wrong. The last time i used the flash card reader it
worked automatically. Now nothing????

If it worked before, be sure you check:

That the USB cable is properly plugged in to the reader and the
computer.

That the Sony memory stick is inserted correctly. Also look at the
memory stick very closely. The tiny contacts should be shiny and
clean and not damaged.

If all else fails, try another memory stick if possible.
