Flash and ActiveX problems in PowerPoint

I'm getting the error "some of the controls on this presentation can’t be
activated. They might not be registered on this computer" on select computers
when I try to view slideshows with embedded Flash. The computers have PPT
2003 SP2 running on Windows XP SP2. All updates for both have been installed
(part of the problem, I suspect as I believe things worked properly on these
machines in the past). I've updated the Flash Player with no success. It
doesn't seem to make a difference whether I'm logged in as user or admin.
I've tried publishing the Flash in versions 5-8 with no success.

I believe this is an ActiveX issue, but haven't found a solution online. Any
help would be greatly appreciated as I've got a couple clients bearing down
on me about this.

Thanks.

This is an activex issue. The error only occurs when the controls in the
presentation are not present on the system. You just need to double-check
all the controls in your presentation and their version numbers. Then
install the same on the target presentation.
