Flagged Items

I cannot get flagged items in the inbox or sent items
to 'alarm' me at set time.
 
Are the Inbox and the Sent Items folder you're talking about located in the
default mail store (i.e. the set of folder where your e-mail is delivered)?
Or are they in a secondary storage file?
