Flag field not available in contacts OL2003

Hi,

The flags in emails work fine, but when I try to flag a contact, the flag
type field is unavailable, its grayed out, not there. I have the outlook
book and funny enough, the picture regarding how to set the flags, the field
is not shown as available in the OL 2003 book by microsoft press. I have
looked everywhere for a solution, reinstalled and repaired outlook - Nada.
Can someone tell me how to be able to access this field??????

Display a contacts folder in a table view such as Phone List and right-click
on a contact. In the context menu select Follow Up. That opens the reminder
dialog for the contact. That will create an old-style reminder and flag. The
new Outlook 2003 type colored flags aren't available for contacts, they are
only available for emails.

You mean the flag color? Only mail messages can be flagged with colors.
