How do I set the cell to only accept dd/mm/yyyy as date format?
Ex. 21/04/2008

I tried using date format in Format Cells (Location =Malay-Malaysia / Date
=14/03/2001) .
I locked the cell and yet users can still key in date using other format.

Please help ... thank you.

Hi Salza

Excel is quite understanding when it comes to dates. A date is a date, why
do you want to reject typing like "april 21 2008" as long as Excel
understands?

Best wishes Harald

Just want to make sure that users will key in the same format in that
column.
This worksheet is for different people to key in the data that consist
dates..

The format they use when they enter the data may not matter (I'm not sure
here) ... other than the usual day/month or month/day problems. If that is
your problem, what about separating them and using one cell for day and one
for month ?

Hi Paul

Thank you for your kind advise.

Gone through the website, but I don't have idea how to execute it.

Where do I insert the code?

Please help... Thanks.

Thanks, Bruce.
That's what I am thinking of doing now.

* My reason for all this is to make sure that I can make a statistics of how
many people attend a class in that particular month.
