Fix for drifting cursor

Jim

There have been a few posts about cursor's drfting leftward
while the mouse is stationary, but no fixes posted. This seems
to have perhaps begun about the time of SP2 install, or it
may have been later. I have an HP2, wth HP2 optical mouse

Process of elimination.
First thing I'd do is beg/borrow a hard-wired mouse & see if it still
happens.
If it 's then OK, check the HP site for updated drivers or other clues, or
take it back for a replacement.
I doubt very much that this is an SP2 problem.

I had a problem with my blue tooth mouse doing the same thing (although it wasn't limited to just
drifting left), what fixed the problem for me was to disable the touch pad on my laptop as they were
obviously conflicting.
hope it helps
