Fit background picture to Excel page

How do I resize the Tiff or JPEG image formatted as
BACKGROUND to fit my printed page?
The picture is spread over too many columns to be seen
properly within the view area of the spreadsheet.

If you set the background through Format>Sheet>Background, it won't print, so
don't worry about it.
