There's no valid reason to have to call someone in India to use
something one has paid for. The fact that you accept Redmond accusing
you of being a pirate until you prove otherwise and that one should be
"polite" when one is forced to jump through the WGA hoops only proves
how brainwashed you are in accepting this control.
If Microsoft thinks someone is stealing from them, they should call the
proper authorities like anyone else. There is no valid reason why paying
customers should be forced to assist MS in catching pirates. If MS wants
to know if I bought my copies of Windows, they can bloody well get a
court order and come over here and demand to see my receipts.
That would cost them money. Simpler for them to sell you a toy operating
system with the builtin "feature" of being able to sniff out your computer
remotely. Remember, with Microsoft its ALL ABOUT MONEY. Users come a *very*
distant second. What has got Microsoft totally freaked out is that the
future of computing is away from the desktop to web-based applications,
given away for FREE and supported by ads. Hence their unprecedented attempt
to buyout Yahoo! In the future, users won't need to purchase their Office
Suite to type a letter nor their bloated operating system to become a
client to these online apps. Microsoft is scared shitless and a scared
Microsoft is a dangerous Microsoft as evidenced by the Microsoft shrills
around here.
Cheers.
