Peter, you need to choose an application into which you paste your clipboard
contents.

Text: Word, WordPad, Notepad, WordPerfect, etc.
Graphics: Paint, Word, etc.

You then print from the application.
PS: if you only want to view the clipboard contents:
Start
Run
cilpbrd
OK

Anything on the clip board can be pasted into almost any program. If it's
text just open notepad and paste it in then print it.

Honestly, I never used the clipboard ever. I didn't even know how to
find it. I found it, but I can't figure out how to print the file. Is
there something better that can replace clipboard. How do I print the
clipboard is the most important question......Peter. I'm using Windows
XP Pro

Peter. Try this free utility. It does everything you could hope for,and it
keeps it in its 'history' till you erase it. http://www.yankee-clipper.net/
I have used it instead of the built-in clipboard for three years now and it
is great to edit then send from. Regards. Dean
