First LCD monitor from LG

I bought a 19 inch LCD monitor(1933TR) so I could have the latest in pc
veiwing technology. I use Microsoft Flight Simulator extensively and with
this new monitor during night flight there is annoying lights showing at the
the top, bottom and on the sides of this new monitor. Kind of like clouds of
light at all sides. I have tried all monitor settings, resolutions too no
end and have contacted LG through their technical support, explaining the
problem, but they have not responded. My monitor shows lighted ares just
fine but when I want a nice, black night sky and see the stars there is this
annoying light leaking from all sides, especially from the top. Is everyone
seeing lights leaking frome sides of LCD monitors when veiwing dark screens?
If not I will return this monitor and buy a better one My old CRT didn't do
this.

its called a backlight.........and most LCD monitors do a better job at not
having it leak out
When you take it back..and look at a new LCD test it first.

Leakage is mentioned on this Acer AL2016WBbd Black 20".
I don't think what you are seeing is an isolated problem.

There is an article here that mentions panel type as an ingredient in
the performance of monitors. It is possible a different panel type
might perform better.

This is another article they wrote, which discusses other aspects of
recent designs that can impact the end user.

Thanks. Its not a critical critical issue but no response from LG is
critical after being sure that my message was sent. I will note this (the no
response issue and light leakage) in future puchases and in general
conversation.
