toughness of LCD monitors

I have a Samsung P2250 LCD monitor. My cat knocked it off the table.
It does seem light compared to another 22 inch monitor I used. The fall
broke the stand where it attached to the back of the screen. Certainly
the base needs bulking up. Anyway, I thought it aint gunna work no more.
But switched it on, and still goes. Fortunately the front was not
scratched.

I accidentally rammed the front of my LCD monitor into the hard
corner of another object, without damage.

Still have an original tilt-n-swivel Samsung 19". Placed back when
word processors first offered full-page for running in GUI modes.
Makes a gread test monitor, (sorry, no housecalls), fires up first
time every time when considering alternatives, something at least over
32 inchines.
