First & Last Names Reversed

I am using Outlook 2002 SP-2 under XP SP-1. All of my
contacts are entered using Title, FirstName, LastName.
The "File as" is LastName, FirstName.

My problem is when I enter a new contact as FirstName
LastName then click on the "Full Name" button, the
information is reversed (LastName in FirstName box, etc.)
and then wherever FullName is displayed, the information
is reversed (Title LastName FirstName). The same thing
happens even if I click on the "Full Name" button first
and type all of the information into the "Check Full
Name" box. If I type the information in the "Full Name"
text box as LastName, FullName the information is then
correct but displays as LastName, Title FirstName.

Also, in those contacts that are "Full Name" Title
LastName FirstName (ie, incorrect), the "Display As" is
FirstName LastName (emailaddress) (correct).

This is a new problem as I have over a thousand contacts
at home and three thousand at work (same software
versions) that are displayed and functioning correctly
with only two (that I have discovered) that are
functioning incorrectly. Any new contacts I enter (at one
computer only) are also functioning incorrectly.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated. I have
searched the Microsoft website for known problems and
have come up blank.

Look at the settings you have specified for the Full Name field. Tools >
Options > Preferences > Contact Options...
