I am running Windows XP on Pentium 4 computer and using
DLink Airplus Extreme G wireless router to connect to a
laptop. It works fine until I try us the XP firewall and
then it will not let the laptop access the files on my
desktop computer. I can still share internet access
(cable) but not files.
Help?

Start > Help > Search > Internet Connection Firewall

Help clearly states that ICF is intended for use on a computer directly
connected to the Internet. If used on a LAN, ICF may interfere with LAN
communications.

Get a good free firewall for use on your LAN. ZoneAlarm, Sygate Personal
Firewall are a couple that come to mind.
