I have two XP Pro machines networked thru a peer to peer...with the slave
machine connecting to the web thru the masters dial up modem. Works great
except one of the two machines thinks theres a firewall up and running so
the slave machine cannot do some of the jobs we want it to do correctly....
such as video conferncing. All messages sent this way suggests that there is
a firewall up so all video messages must be sent thru a server in order to
reach us.
I know there is no firewall installed and the one that comes with XP is not
active. I have activated it.... then unchecked it again to see if that helps
but it didnt.
Is there another area i can go look to see what might be the problem?

There is a sort of firewall up it is the ICS machine. When
you enable ICS the machine connected to teh internet acts
as a dhcp server and network adress translator. Therefoe
you have sort of a NAT firewall between computer 2 and the
internet. The only thing you can do with your present
equipment is to find out what port your program works on
then port forward that to the second machine. Not a somple
task in this case.
